My latest trip to Laughlin was only my second visit, and my first to the Riverside Casino. Not only is the Riverside Casino the first in Laughlin, but is also the only family owned and operated property. The Riverside Resort and Casino, which Laughlin opened in 1966, is a distant memory of what it has become today. Laughlin, Nevada is a beautiful little town located just an easy 90 mile drive from Las Vegas, right on the Colorado River, and named for Don Laughlin, the casino owner who founded the town.
